Very Merry Theatre Statement on Racial Injustice

At Very Merry Theatre we condemn all acts of racism, mistreatment, and violence directed towards people of color. We value celebrating and appreciating children for who they are and their unique contributions to our theatre community. As an organization, we seek to create equitable, inclusive, and joyful programming for children who may not otherwise have access to performing arts opportunities. We strive to create healthy, supportive, and engaging theatre arts experiences that build community among our participants.

We recognize that much work needs to be done to combat bias and address systemic racism in society and our local community. As an organization, Very Merry Theatre will continue to listen to, learn alongside, and partner with families, our participants, and other youth-serving organizations in our community to do the work necessary to undo racism and promote equity.
